roundhuts (rondavels),
eat with the family, hang out with the Kenyan artisans. Safaris

Workshops are possible when enough people come together -
the last women’s workshop ended up with the WOW (Women
Of the World and Africa unite) sculpture outside Kenyatta
Hospital.
Nani’s
first hospital work was in Isiolo Hospital where she assembled
a team of local artists and they covered the white walls with
murals and the empty benches with concrete patients.
Outside the children’s hospital, Gertrude’s Garden,
there is a screen with African glass faces.
At the entrance of Nairobi Hospital there is a ‘Get well
Soon’ sculpture. The Aga Khan Hospital sports ‘Health,
Hope and Happiness’ reminiscent of his Highness’s
plumed crown.
